  1. Multimedia production/Video editing

    2. The Technology Support Center is equipped with one PC multimedia workstation and one Mac multimedia workstation, which make it possible to:

    • Import DVD/VHS content
    • Capture videos from your digital camcorder
    • Convert video clips or footage for further editing
    • Outputting video clips or footage to a variety of electronic formats or DVD
    This service is by appointment only. To start a multimedia project, we will work with you based on the content and final outcome you desire, set up a workable plan with reasonable time table, train you to use necessary equipment, and guide you through the production process.

  2. Podcasting Production

    3. Both PC and Mac multimedia workstations are also equipped with USB microphones, webcams and podcasting production software, which will facilitate faculty to produce their own podcasting sessions for the class or multimedia projects. This service is by appointment only. Again, we will work with you based on the content and final outcome you desire, set up a workable plan with reasonable time table, train you to use necessary equipment, and guide you through the production process.

  3. Audio/video conversion

    4. The Technology Support Center also provides the services to convert audio and video from one format to another.  The most requested conversion tasks are to convert cassette tape to CD (audio) and to convert DVD to single file electronic format (video). If you are a first time user, we will guide you through the process of conversion.  Returning faculty will need to make an appointment in advance to make sure all necessary equipment will be in place.

  4. Photography production

    5. Both PC and Mac multimedia workstations are equipped with essential photography enhancement and production software (i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Vista Photo Gallery, Aperture, etc.), which can not only work on the photos enhancement but also on creating or producing high-quality graphics or images and/or slide show video file.
