Database Connections and Passwords
Making the Connection
- Department Chairs and Supervisors may send an email to Anh Lu requesting access to one or more of our databases for members of their department.
- Accounts are permitted using your campus logon (e.g., AD\xsmith). An account may also be created for one general user who does not have a campus email identity, but these special user names are typically limited to Student Assistants or other temporary workers hired to update the database.
- Once your request is approved, your account will be given access to the College's data by our network administrator.
- The database staff will come to your office and establish the database connection shortcut on your computer desktop for each database to which you have been granted access. The shortcut is your means of access to the requested data.
